Top Meal Plans for Building Muscle and Getting Ripped

The search for the perfect body feels like a neverending quest. If you spend more than a few moments watching television, you'll likely come across a slew of different diets that all promise to be the difference-maker in your venture. For some, the perfect body means slimming down and toning up. For others, the perfect body is all about building muscle and getting stronger. Today, we are going to focus on a few different healthy meal plans that you can try in order to build up muscle, get healthier, and find your way to a better life.

Nutrisystem - A Better Way to Eat

We're going to start off our breakdown of muscle-building meal plans by taking a glance at one for men in the form of Nutrisystem. Nutrisystem is a diet and health management system that has been in place for a long time now, finding success with a variety of people of all ages, shapes, and sizes. With Nutrisystem, the focus is all about portions, nutrition balance, and meal frequency.

For people who want to approach their diet with a simple meal plan that doesn't make them count every calorie, carb, and point -- this is for you. With Nutrisystem, you are still going to be focused on maximizing your veggies but you are going to be balancing them with healthy proteins. The focus of this system is to give your body the ability to start leaning into a healthy diet, rather than shocking your system all at once.

Nutrition 101 - Grab the Grass-Fed Beef

While we love diet plans that give their customers complete and total organization, we also appreciate the ability to focus on just the basics. Whether you are a 40-year-old man or a 20-year-old woman, your path to building muscle will follow a common path. With muscle building you are going to be focusing on giving your body enough protein to properly repair your torn muscle fibers while you rest, thus improving your muscle ratio.

A key food in this pursuit is beef. Beef is a great source of protein as well as a chemical called conjugated linoleic acid, or CLA. CLA boosts your body's ability to shred that unwanted body fat while simultaneously building up your lean muscle. If you are going to be maxing out on eating beef then you need to be careful about where you source it from. Cheap meat can be bad for your body and too much of any kind of meat can also be bad for you. That is why we focus on eating only grass-fed beef. Avoid processed meats in general and stick as close to the source as you can.

As you can see from our prior two entries, there is a lot that goes into building up a proper diet in order to maximize your ability to build up muscle. Building up muscle is a tough task for anyone because it requires you to really push yourself, push your diet, and push your fitness regime. You are never going to stumble into muscle, at least not the kind that endures, so having this kind of a hands-on approach can be a game-changing thing for you. Now that we have talked a little bit about theory, let's move on to a more high-end meal plan that can help get you into fighting, lifting, physical shape.
Art of the Bulk - Eating and Slimming

If you have spent any amoutn of time near a weight room then you've already heard your fellow gym-goers lamenting their latest 'bulk' or 'cut'. These two phrases pretty much summarize the experience of a seasoned lifter. A bulk is when you intentionally overload your body with food so that you have more 'meat' to carve down, thus allowing you to improve your size while adding to your muscle. Cutting is the act of suddenly dropping all of those extra calories so that you can find your abs and muscles underneath.

Bulking can be one of the most important things you do on the hunt for more muscle. However, you need to bulk the proper way. When bulking to build muscle, always overload your diet with high-quality proteins that come from lean sources. Ground turkey, chicken and fish are all great options. High quality, grass-fed beef is also a dietary winner. For those that want to speed up their bulking diet, consider adding creatine and whey protein. These two supplements are staples for just about every muscle-building diet in the world and they can be acquired from your local health and fitness store.

The art of building muscle can be mystifying from the outside looking in. Don't let your body fall behind your dreams. Take control of your diet and take control of your life.
